David Kuhrt, PhD

Dave is a Molecular Virologist and Microbiologist (University of Pittsburgh) turned startup executive with a singular focus: compressing the timeline from research to revenue. With deep roots in diagnostic development and tech transfer, Dave is a hands-on leader who cuts through the noise of traditional R&D to get products into the hands of customers. He champions a culture of intellectual honesty and transparency, where scientific precision meets the agility of a lean startup to rapidly deliver scalable, life-saving solutions.

Tyler’s expertise in microbiology is backed by a strong academic foundation from UConn and Yale, followed by years of hands-on industry experience with molecular diagnostics at small and large companies. He has a proven track record of turning complex science into practical tools like rapid PCR assays and molecular reagents. Driven by creativity and innovation, he is dedicated to advancing how we detect and respond to emerging public health threats.
